Project Manager – Emerging Technologies

About the role

This exciting position will focus on delivering next‑generation technologies for an emerging product category, driving innovation and excellence from concept through to launch. You will play a key role in shaping Dyson’s future portfolio, ensuring projects meet time, cost, and quality targets while upholding Dyson’s high standards for performance and design.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to take new category products from concept to launch, aligning with Dyson’s strategic vision and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Manage project progress in a fast‑paced, highly technical environment, handling risks, actions, issues, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee resource planning, cost control, and compliance with Dyson’s development processes and engineering standards.
• Facilitate optimal design decisions within time, specification, and cost constraints, supporting complex mechanical, electrical, and software challenges hands‑on.
• Ensure seamless integration of mechanical design, electronics, sensors, and software with procurement, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
• Maintain governance of project‑related information and manage stakeholder expectations throughout all development stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (required).
• PMP certification (preferred).
• Strong project‑management capabilities: planning, risk management, reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to build effective relationships, influence stakeholders, and engage confidently with senior executives.
• Proficiency in Mandarin for frequent collaboration with Chinese suppliers and partners.
• Assertive and proactive in driving teams toward solutions and remedial actions.
• Solid understanding of air‑treatment product engineering, including airflow dynamics, filtration systems, and electronics integration.
• Willingness to travel frequently to China (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Project.
