Production Engineer

About the role

The Production Engineer will drive new product transfer and industrialization for structured‑light measurement systems. You will work closely with global engineering teams to ensure smooth ramp‑up, high yield, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Support NPI and product transfer projects, planning line setup, equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
• Develop and deliver technology and process training to production teams.
• Perform capacity analysis, ramp‑up planning, and lead‑time management.
• Lead P‑FMEA activities, identify process risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Design, implement, and optimize assembly technologies for optical, mechanical, and electronic modules.
• Standardize work instructions, calibrations, and alignment steps for structured‑light systems.
• Lead shop‑floor troubleshooting, analyze customer feedback, and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, and production master data in SAP with high accuracy.
• Act as the technical liaison between local operations and global engineering, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Support engineering change management, communicate ECOs, and verify change effectiveness.

Required profile

• Solid technical background in optical, mechanical, and electronic assembly.
• Strong process‑ and quality‑orientation with experience in NPI, P‑FMEA, and control plans.
• Ability to work in a global, cross‑functional environment and communicate clearly in English.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
