Procurement Section Lead

About the role

Saipem, a global leader in engineering and construction for the energy and infrastructure sectors, is hiring a Procurement Section Lead for the NFPS EPC2 project in Qingdao, China. The role leads and coordinates the activities of a team of buyers responsible for purchasing goods, services and subcontracts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the activities of the assigned team of buyers
• Assign purchasing requests to buyers and define or approve the bidder list
• Approve Requests for Quotations and the commercial/economic tabulations comparing proposals
• Supervise commercial and economic negotiations
• Check and approve purchase orders and subcontracts, and check technical documentation against the purchase requisition
• Manage claims and transactions, support buyers in daily activities and tender feedback, and promote market scouting
• Ensure confidentiality of technical, commercial and economic information from vendor proposals and tenders
• Report to the Procurement function on the team's activities

Required profile

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration
• 10 years of experience as a Procurement Section Lead in the oil and gas industry
• English language skills (other languages specified by the project)
• Start date as soon as possible

• SAP experience
