Process Engineering Manager (CNC Machining)

About the role

Johnson Electric is looking for a Process Engineering Manager (CNC Machining) in Shenzhen. The role covers new project prototype sample manufacturing (such as machining) and the smooth transition to standard operating procedures, plus continuous production support to improve quality and productivity. It focuses on the vane process line for vane-type fuel oil pumps, covering vane component processing, assembly and performance reliability, and leads end-to-end line platform development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the vane production line and develop the vane process line so that daily operations run smoothly.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues, working closely with operators and maintenance teams to achieve smooth line setup.
• Optimize vane machining processes (sawing, face grinding, edge grinding, polishing, AOI, packing).
• Monitor and optimize key metrics such as yield, scrap rates, cycle time and OEE to continuously improve manufacturing performance.
• Identify sources of material loss and defects, implement corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield.
• Reduce cycle time by removing bottlenecks, improving workflow and increasing machine utilization without compromising quality.
• Improve process capability indices (Cp, Cpk) to ensure consistent product quality.
• Apply data-driven decision-making, root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal and external CFT teams to ensure project execution and continuous improvement.
• Standardize processes, tools, recipes, machines, gauges, operations and documentation, and implement single-piece flow with end-to-end line processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Mechatronics Engineering.
• More than 5 years of hands-on experience in vane manufacturing or machining.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to meet customer deadlines under pressure.
• Customer-focused, willing to learn and hardworking.
• Team player who focuses on developing team members.
