Primary School Teacher – Bilingual School in Shanghai

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Primary School Teacher to join our bilingual school in Shanghai’s Jiading district. The role begins in August 2026 and involves delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) to young learners in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects within the PYP framework, integrating transdisciplinary units of inquiry.
• Prepare teaching materials, assess student learning, maintain accurate records, and write narrative reports.
• Support students in becoming independent, reflective, and internationally minded learners aligned with the IB Learner Profile.
• Monitor and assess progress using formative and summative strategies, providing constructive feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student development.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning, curriculum development, and the continuous improvement of the PYP programme.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum three years of full‑time primary teaching experience.
• Valid teaching certificate.
• Strong English communication skills and a passion for energetic, student‑centred teaching.
