Primary School Classroom Teacher

About the role

Concordia International School Shanghai is seeking a dedicated Primary School Classroom Teacher to join its Christian‑based community. The successful candidate will teach elementary students, integrate technology into daily lessons, and may receive training in Reading & Writing Workshop methods before starting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects, including the Bridges math program.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive learning environment.
• Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
• Participate in professional development and uphold the school’s Christian values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area and appropriate teaching certification.
• Minimum two years of successful teaching experience in a school setting.
• Experience or willingness to be trained in Reading & Writing Workshop approaches.
• Familiarity with international school environments and the American curriculum is desired.
• Commitment to modeling Christ’s teachings and engaging respectfully with diverse faith traditions.
