Power Semiconductor Application Engineer (RBCN/ME)

About the role

As a Power Semiconductor Application Engineer you will develop SiC‑based power semiconductor solutions for industrial applications such as solid‑state transformers, AI data centres, energy storage systems and eVTOLs, and provide first‑level technical support to key customers in China.

Key responsibilities

• Develop SiC‑based discrete and module solutions for industrial applications.
• Provide first‑level technical support to main customers and partners in China.
• Collaborate with Bosch global teams, local product managers, development engineers and project managers to optimise customer solutions.
• Discuss innovative approaches with customer development teams and drive cost/performance optimisation.
• Translate customer pain points and use cases into system requirements for product development.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations, product/application trainings, and support product evaluations.
• Promote SiC products in targeted industrial applications together with project and product managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics, physics or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Field Application Engineer or Development Engineer with power semiconductor products.
• Strong orientation towards industrial applications such as power supply, solid‑state transformer, energy storage, solar and off‑highway.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers.
• High self‑motivation for business creation and success.
• Very good written and spoken English.
