Platform Project Manager – Comfort Actuator (AC EM)

About the role

As a Platform Project Manager for the Comfort Actuator business unit, you will drive the development of motor‑driven platforms such as window lifts, seat adjustments, steering column adjustments and sunroofs. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional development teams covering mechanical design, electronics, software, testing, process development, production and quality assurance.
• Guarantee “On Spec, On Time, On Cost, On Quality” delivery by monitoring work packages, design freezes and sample deliveries.
• Manage design‑to‑cost activities, balancing performance requirements with cost targets.
• Plan and control the development budget, define milestones and track expenses.
• Oversee requirement engineering, change management and compliance with market trends, customer specifications and legal regulations.
• Identify technical and commercial risks early, implement mitigation strategies and lead problem‑solving initiatives.
• Act as the primary interface between engineering, sales, purchasing, product management, controlling and customers, representing the project in steering committees.
• Ensure adherence to Bosch’s development process and drive platform reuse across multiple applications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Platform Project Manager or similar role in a technical environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and coordinate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and external partners.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, electronics and software development processes.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules and complex interface alignments.
• Track record of risk mitigation, problem solving and delivering projects to specification.
