Originals APP Designer

About the role

As an Originals APP Designer you will lead the design of apparel products for Adidas in the China market. You will work closely with internal teams and external design partners to create collections that meet local consumer needs while staying true to the Adidas brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the design of apparel collections for T0‑T3 markets, ensuring colour, material, fit and graphics align with market demands and brand standards.
• Coordinate external designers and agencies to deliver high‑quality, on‑time design output.
• Analyse local market trends, consumer insights and competitor activity to generate design concepts.
• Collaborate with senior designers, design directors and product marketing to implement design strategies and product plans.
• Work with product development to ensure design feasibility and efficient implementation.
• Maintain the full design workflow from concept generation through sample development, delivering commercially viable products on schedule.
• Adjust design directions based on feedback and market response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of apparel design experience, preferably focused on mass‑market or local market segments.
• Strong understanding of consumer needs and design trends specific to China’s T0‑T3 markets.
• Experience managing external designers or small design teams is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Competence with Microsoft Office tools.
