About the role

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) invites applications for open‑rank faculty positions within its Financial Technology (FinTech) Thrust. Candidates will join a cross‑disciplinary research hub that integrates computational, economic and data‑driven approaches to advance FinTech research and education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead high‑impact research projects in FinTech and related areas.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise theses and doctoral dissertations.
• Secure external research funding and collaborate with industry partners.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the FinTech Thrust and the broader university community.

Required profile

• PhD in FinTech, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Machine Learning, Mathematical Finance, Optimization, Statistics, Operations Research or a closely related field.
• For Assistant Professor: strong research and teaching potential.
• For Associate/Full Professor: proven research excellence, supervision experience and leadership.
