About the role

The Training Manager will work closely with the Marine & Offshore (M&O) and Strategic Sales teams to promote Bureau Veritas' training services to clients in the maritime sector. This role involves developing, delivering and continuously improving training programmes on ship operations, maritime risk assessment, crisis management and related standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with M&S and Strategic Sales to visit clients and promote training offerings.
• Assess client expectations and develop training materials for ship operations, TMSA, maritime risk assessment and crisis management.
• Adapt and regularly update internal technical training content for external delivery.
• Arrange training sessions, confirming topics, dates, agendas and participants.
• Coordinate with BV China Certification Department for ISO‑related trainings.
• Work with BV China M&O operational departments to schedule internal trainers.
• Source external trainers when needed and manage non‑technical training delivery.
• Collect trainee feedback after each session and create action plans for improvement.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and engage diverse audiences.
• Adaptability to modify training methods and materials for different learning styles.
• Marine and offshore expertise, especially in ship operations, TMSA and maritime risk assessment.
• Patience to provide individualized guidance and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Creativity to design engaging, memorable training experiences.
• Preferably holds a Train‑the‑Trainers certification.
• Commercial awareness to interact effectively with clients from a sales perspective.
