About the role

3M is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of internal production equipment and plant utilities. The role involves mechanical and electrical maintenance, preventive servicing, and supporting improvement projects within a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and preventive servicing of production equipment and facilities.
• Maintain plant utilities such as power distribution rooms, chilled water systems, and compressed air systems.
• Install and fabricate simple electrical control circuits for equipment upgrades and engineering projects.
• Carry out on‑site Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and 5S management activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance regulations and electrical safety practices.
• Basic mechanical equipment maintenance knowledge and hands‑on troubleshooting ability.
• Strong willingness to learn, ability to work hard, and possession of a valid electrician’s license.
• Good customer service orientation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Experience with at least one major PLC platform (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo drives.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in basic electrical safety procedures.
