New Graduate Enclosure Design Engineer (CD)

About the role

Ericsson’s Chengdu R&D centre is seeking a recent graduate to join the 5G Radio Base Station team as an Enclosure Design Engineer. You will contribute to the design, verification and maintenance of radio enclosure solutions that support next‑generation wireless networks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise enclosures for Ericsson 5G Remote Radio Base Station products.
• Conduct theory analysis and simulation to validate enclosure performance.
• Research cutting‑edge enclosure technologies and apply findings to product development.
• Perform debugging and root‑cause analysis for enclosure‑related product issues.
• Audit production lines and ensure quality control of enclosure manufacturing.
• Support overall radio product manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Moulding & Control Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical production processes such as machining, casting, stamping and extrusion.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Excellent communication, organization and structured thinking abilities.

Required skills

• Pro/E (Creo) or equivalent 3D CAD tools.
• Simulation software such as Ansys or Flotherm.
• Stress analysis and mechanical part simulation.
• Understanding of machining, casting, stamping and extrusion processes.
