Fresh Graduate PCB Layout Engineer (Radio Hardware)

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a motivated fresh graduate to join its Radio hardware design team as a PCB Layout Engineer. You will translate schematics into manufacturable, high‑performance printed circuit boards for radio base‑station products, gaining deep expertise in high‑speed and RF PCB design.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end PCB layout for radio base‑station hardware, from netlist to fabrication‑ready files.
• Collaborate with hardware and RF engineers on component placement, routing, stack‑up, and impedance control for high‑speed digital, RF and power circuits.
• Apply design‑for‑manufacturability, assembly and reliability guidelines.
• Support signal‑integrity, power‑integrity, mechanical and thermal considerations during layout.
• Maintain design documentation, libraries and ensure compliance with internal rules and IPC standards.
• Work with PCB suppliers and manufacturing teams on design reviews and issue resolution.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (fresh graduate) in Electronic, Electrical, Communication Engineering or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of PCB design principles, electronics fundamentals and high‑frequency/high‑speed concepts.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and a problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with PCB layout tools – Cadence Allegro (preferred) or Altium Designer, Mentor Xpedition.
• Basic understanding of signal integrity, impedance control, EMI/EMC.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes.
• Good English reading and writing skills for technical documentation.
