About the role

Build AI is a data hyperscaler for physical labour, collecting footage from wearable cameras worn by field teams and partners. It is looking for a Member of Technical Staff, Software, based in Shenzhen, to own software that removes the bottlenecks to scale. You will work directly with the founders and the global operations team, owning problems end to end.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vendor platform: an Android and web app that coordinates operators, partners and vendors in sourcing, onboarding and paying contributors and businesses, covering device assignment, attendance, collection tracking, payments and fraud/loss prevention.
• Own partner growth: referral programmes and forecasting models for how much data partners can collect.
• Own data infrastructure: upload, storage and processing pipelines running at petabytes per month and growing 10x a year.
• Own data quality: orchestrate, train and fine-tune models for a pipeline that catches bad data automatically.
• Own recruiting tools and anything else blocking scale.

Required profile

• Has built and shipped software that real users depend on.
• Fluent in English and able to be based in Shenzhen full time.
• Comfortable across frontend, backend, APIs and databases, and willing to learn what the job needs.
• Nice to have: Android app development, data pipelines, large file uploads or ML/QA systems.
• Can start immediately.
