Medical Director – Clinical Development

About the role

Roche is seeking a Medical Director to join its Clinical Development organization. The role focuses on late‑stage (Phase 2‑3) clinical strategies for medically differentiated therapies, ensuring effective execution for assigned molecules and indications.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development of the Clinical Development (CD) strategy and detailed plans.
• Support the execution of late‑stage clinical programs, aligning with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to disease‑specific strategy development and implementation.
• Collaborate with regulatory, data‑analysis, and scientific teams to ensure compliance and scientific rigor.
• Travel up to 30% globally to engage with sites, partners, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree.
• Minimum 2 years of post‑graduate academic, clinical, or clinical‑trial experience in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Experience publishing scientific results in peer‑reviewed journals is preferred.
• Knowledge of GCP, ICH, FDA, EMA, and related regulatory guidelines is advantageous.
• Strong ethics, attention to detail, and business acumen within the pharma/biotech industry.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
