Medical Advisor

About the role

The Medical Advisor will drive the development and execution of local Medical Affairs strategies, aligning with global franchise goals and contributing to the creation of integrated evidence plans. This role provides scientific leadership across disease areas and product lifecycles, partnering with internal teams and external healthcare stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement country‑specific Medical Affairs strategic plans in line with global objectives.
• Identify strategic drivers, map patient journeys, and segment key stakeholder groups.
• Capture insights, co‑design studies, and create joint value with scientific partners.
• Represent country needs in integrated evidence planning and ensure execution throughout product lifecycles.
• Identify Real World Evidence (RWE) needs and apply implementation science and innovative methodologies.
• Lead Post‑Trial Access (PTA) and Managed Access Programs (MAP) at the local level.
• Evaluate Investigator‑Initiated Research (IIT) and Research Collaboration proposals for scientific soundness.
• Ensure compliance with Ethics and Compliance Professional Practices Policy and report technical complaints within 24 hours.

Required profile

• Advanced academic degree in medicine or life sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or Master’s level or higher).
• Fluency in Chinese and English.
• Strong knowledge of medical science and disease areas relevant to the portfolio.
• Strategic and enterprise mindset with experience in stakeholder engagement.
• Understanding of healthcare systems, partnerships, and integrated evidence generation.
