Mechanical Design Engineer – Wheel Speed Sensor (VM)

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of wheel speed sensor (WSS) mechanical solutions. You will translate customer requirements into robust designs, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure product quality throughout its lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer design requirements for wheel speed sensors, propose technical solutions and finalize designs.
• Create mechanical and structural designs, including 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and perform DRBFM analyses following platform guidelines.
• Maintain technical communication with customers, conduct technical reviews and address feedback.
• Coordinate with plant and tooling teams during project development.
• Support production and quality departments in failure analysis and problem solving.
• Assist supplier development by providing component drawings and participating in TLG meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product mechanical design.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as UG and CATIA.
• Experience with FMEA and DRBFM methodologies.
• Knowledge of tolerance stack‑up analysis and air‑gap calculations.
