Mechanical Design Engineer – Electric Compressor (PS‑TS)

About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer for electric compressors, you will lead the creation and optimisation of metal structures and related components, ensuring they meet Bosch’s high standards for performance, robustness and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design review, release and change management for 3D/2D models, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Define and optimise metal‑structure concepts according to target specifications.
• Verify design robustness and support validation planning with V&V engineers.
• Develop test samples, fixtures and benches, and solve technical issues during development.
• Release technical requirements to suppliers and manage PPAP approvals.
• Assist lead design engineers in maintaining product design guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve eCOM platform development goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Thermal Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing aluminium die‑casting components.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium die‑casting manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work in an international, technically demanding environment.
