About the role

As a Supplier Development Engineer (ME) you will lead the development and qualification of electronic component suppliers for Bosch’s automotive business. You will ensure new parts meet application requirements, quality standards and time‑to‑market targets.

Key responsibilities

• Release components that satisfy application specifications.
• Organise and execute supplier qualification activities.
• Assess technical data against Bosch quality standards and generate release documentation.
• Drive component quality improvement throughout the product life‑cycle.
• Lead supplier quality projects, define assessment criteria and manage project set‑up and contracting.
• Report progress to senior management and enable new automotive suppliers systematically.
• Conduct systematic problem‑solving for quality issues and perform VDA 6.3 process audits at supplier sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, microelectronics, physics or a related science.
• More than 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab, assembly, testing) and electronic component qualification standards.
• Experience with quality management tools, statistical methods (e.g., PAT) and project management.
• Ability to work in an international, cross‑functional team.
