Junior Consultant – Lanyue Transformation Team

About the role

Join McKinsey’s Lanyue team as a Junior Consultant, working on transformative projects for leading businesses in China. You will be based in Beijing, Shanghai or Shenzhen and collaborate directly with client staff and senior consultants to deliver measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project work streams, track metrics, conduct complex analyses and prepare client‑facing communications.
• Develop practical recommendations, contribute to team discussions on analysis implications, and identify implementation challenges.
• Facilitate working sessions, coach client and McKinsey team members, and help build capabilities across the organization.
• Solicit feedback from teammates to continuously improve your own consulting skills.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or master’s degree with strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with all organizational levels.
• Collaborative mindset, willingness to travel and adapt to fast‑paced environments.
• Fluency in English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
