Intern, Financial Market Sales Shanghai

About the role

ING is offering a 6-month internship in its Financial Markets Sales team in Shanghai, part of the ING WB Asia Internship Programme 2027. The programme runs from January to June 2027 and includes structured onboarding, cross-country networking, business insights sessions and a graduation experience. You will support the delivery of ING products and services to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market, industry and company research, collecting, organizing and analyzing information to help sales identify opportunities and understand how ING compares with market peers.
• Assist with preparing, updating and translating pitch books, client presentations and other marketing materials into Chinese and English.
• Help respond to client requests and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Assist with general office administration, data maintenance, filing and arranging trips, meetings and client activities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a university degree or above, preferably in finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, good presenter, able to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Genuine interest in financial markets and banking products.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) is preferred.
• Application materials: English resume, academic transcript showing cumulative GPA, and a brief statement of interest or cover letter is preferred.
