Industrial Design Internship – Shaving Experience Design

About the role

Join Philips' Shaving Experience Design team in Shenzhen as an Industrial Design Intern. You will help shape future shaving products by turning user insights, technology, and brand ambition into tangible concepts and prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Support front‑end innovation and product‑development projects for shaving experiences.
• Create sketches, storyboards, mock‑ups, CAD models, renders and simple prototypes to communicate ideas.
• Explore product form, ergonomics, interaction, materials, finishes and visual design language.
• Participate in rapid iteration cycles, testing concepts and refining them based on feedback.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners to assess technical feasibility, manufacturing considerations and business needs.

Required profile

• Currently studying Industrial Design, Product Design or a related field at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product‑design thinking, sketching, form development, prototyping and visual communication.
• Interest in designing tangible consumer products and improving everyday user experiences.
• Proactive, collaborative, open to feedback and eager to learn in a fast‑paced team.
