Group Manager – Hardware Engineering (Power Electronics)

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Group Manager to lead a high‑performing hardware engineering team focused on power‑electronics for the global automotive market. The role combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring delivery of world‑class hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a specialized hardware engineering organization in China, collaborating with global development teams.
• Coach, mentor and develop engineers, managing recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and administrative tasks.
• Own resource planning to staff projects with the right competencies at the right time.
• Ensure technical excellence of all deliverables, providing guidance on complex challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering methods, tools and processes.
• Support new business acquisitions and act as a technical advisor for ongoing projects.
• Maintain ownership of key architectural work products, including HW Requirement Specification and overall HW Architecture.
• Lead review processes and act as the primary technical authority for the hardware domain.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related power‑electronics field.
• Extensive experience in power‑electronics development within the automotive sector.
• Proven line‑management experience, including team development and budget responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of hardware architecture and the full development lifecycle for automotive power electronics.
• Strong understanding of requirements analysis, functional safety (ISO 26262) and validation methods.
