Senior Manufacturing Process Planning Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Manufacturing Process Planning Engineer at Bosch, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing manufacturing processes and investments for machines and equipment (MAE). You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth ramp‑up, quality compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan manufacturing processes and investment for MAE based on VPA and production plans.
• Create requisition orders for purchasing or service.
• Manage pre‑ and final acceptance, ramp‑up support, and release of MAE, processes, and types.
• Develop quality documents (FMEA, control plans, work instructions) following RBCD policy.
• Implement Bosch Production System concepts from the planning phase.
• Apply quality tools in the workshop (SPC, Poka‑Yoke, PDCA, support QAM).
• Lead problem‑solving activities and evaluate operation flow, cycle time, machines, tools, and material requirements.
• Coordinate cost‑reduction, quality‑improvement, and customer‑satisfaction projects.
• Introduce Industry 4.0 projects and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
• Support maintenance for spare‑parts planning and define consumables and gauges.
• Prepare audit documentation and accompany auditors.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in planning or manufacturing for high‑volume production.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing technologies and digital tools such as Power BI.
• Good communication skills in English and/or German.
