Graduate Low Latency C++ Software Developer (Shanghai)

About the role

Eclipse Trading, a leading proprietary derivatives trading firm founded in 2007 with offices in Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago, is recruiting a graduate Low Latency C++ Software Developer for its team in the Xintiandi district of Shanghai. The Low Latency team builds the firm's market links and algorithmic trading software, and the successful candidate joins a 2027 intake cohort.

The candidate takes part in an 8-week training programme and learns under the guidance of an experienced mentor. Work is done in actual production and directly affects trading and market activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop low latency software for electronic trading on Linux
• Take part in code testing and reviews
• Collaborate with Trading and Quant teams to gather system requirements when needed
• Provide Tier 3 application support

Required profile

• Final-year student or recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex technical problems
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Valid authorization to work in China

Required skills

• Strong experience in C++ and a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols and architecture
• Familiarity with or strong interest in Linux/Unix systems
