Global Communications Manager – AI & Cloud

About the role

We are seeking a Global Communications Manager to lead Tencent’s communications on artificial intelligence, large‑model and cloud technologies. The role will partner with business, product, engineering and research teams to translate complex technical developments into clear, compelling stories for global audiences, including media, customers, partners and the broader public.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary communications liaison for AI, large‑model and cloud business units, identifying newsworthy opportunities from product launches, customer case studies, research breakthroughs and partnerships.
• Develop and maintain global and regional messaging that reflects Tencent’s AI strategy, technological strengths and market positioning.
• Produce press materials, executive briefings, Q&As, talking points and media pitches to support thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Monitor international AI trends and industry narratives, shaping proactive communication strategies.
• Collaborate with the Global Communications team to manage media relations, social‑media content, podcasts, video assets and other digital formats.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of AI, large‑model and cloud technologies and their business applications.
• Strong familiarity with international markets and cultural nuances required to communicate effectively across regions.
• Curiosity about emerging communication channels and comfort working with traditional media, social platforms, podcasts and video.
• Excellent storytelling ability to turn technical information into accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
