About the role
3M is a global innovation leader. The Category Development Manager will lead and develop the portfolio strategy for China consumer health care (CHC) portfolios, driving growth in consumer skin care and first‑aid categories.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the portfolio strategy for China consumer health care (CHC) portfolios.
- Analyze the CHC portfolio, market and competitors to create go‑to‑market plans and storytelling that drive category growth.
- Own profit‑center business results, including topline sales, standard gross‑margin percentage and pricing.
- Understand consumer behavior, identify unmet needs, lead local new‑product introductions and influence the global innovation team.
- Launch new products with a comprehensive marketing plan.
- Establish a base price strategy for each portfolio to achieve the standard margin.
- Develop price‑increase plans to optimise margins and counteract inflation or cost changes.
