Researcher / Associate Consultant, PI, China

About the role

iQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is looking for a Researcher / Associate Consultant in Shanghai. The role develops basic market research skills through on-the-job learning and online and offline training, with limited guidance from a senior member or project leader.

Key responsibilities

• Support the project team in executing market research projects on time and take main responsibility for proposal preparation.
• Draft research materials and contribute to the final report, covering both quantitative and qualitative studies.
• For quantitative studies: questionnaire design, table specifications, code frames, report charting and writing key takeaway messages.
• For qualitative studies: draft discussion guides, conduct in-depth interviews with supervision, prepare content analysis and summaries of IDIs, and help write the qualitative report.
• Manage the overall project with minimal support from the project leader and coordinate with the FW, data processing and quality control teams.
• Handle multiple studies efficiently, manage resources and time, and coach analysts, researchers or interns if available.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a medical or public health-related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or oncology market research in consulting or as a market researcher is desirable.
• Familiarity with basic in-depth interviews, with supervision from the project leader.

Required skills

• Market research and quality/quantity research experience.
• Good communication and coordination with supporting modules.
• Time and resource management under pressure.
