GCP Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced GCP Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative cloud solutions for our retail services portfolio. The successful candidate will act as a GCP evangelist, shaping strategy, building prototypes, and guiding cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and implement end‑to‑end solutions on Google Cloud Platform for retail and finance customers.
• Own the architectural direction, ensuring quality, scalability and security of cloud‑native services.
• Collaborate with presales, marketing and product teams to create reusable solution offerings and RFP collateral.
• Lead technical workshops with client architects, program managers and analysts to translate business needs into cloud architectures.
• Evaluate existing on‑premise architectures and recommend migration paths and technology upgrades.
• Mentor project leads and development teams on best practices, agile/SCRUM processes and cloud governance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and implementing distributed applications.
• At least 8 years in enterprise datacenter technologies and 5 years architecting solutions on GCP.
• Proven track record in a GCP Center of Excellence or similar IT service environment.
• Experience delivering solutions to finance or retail industry customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior technical leaders, including CTOs.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform services (Compute, Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Agile/SCRUM methodology.
• Data visualization concepts; familiarity with AI/ML is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
