Financial Accounting and Tax Manager

About the role

Givaudan is looking for a Financial Accounting and Tax Manager in Shanghai, China. The manager leads the local finance team and reports directly to the Regional Finance Director North Asia, providing business support to local operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local Financial Accounting and Tax team and manage its performance and development
• Prepare financial statements in line with legal and statutory requirements, company policies and procedures
• Maintain, document and review internal controls in line with the current business environment
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives
• Work with Group Treasury on banking matters
• Ensure tax planning is done in coordination with Group Tax, in line with laws, regulations and commitments
• File Corporate Income Tax, VAT, PIT and other tax returns in accordance with local regulations
• Carry out other tasks and projects assigned by the Finance Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or a professional accountancy qualification
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a large multinational company with manufacturing capability
• Experience with shared service centres; previous audit experience preferred
• Qualified accountant
• Bilingual in spoken and written English and Mandarin
