Finance Manager – Business Partner & FP&A

About the role

The Finance Manager will act as the primary finance business partner for project management, business development and clinical operations teams. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis at the study/project level while providing insights to improve cost efficiency and margins.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with project, business development and clinical teams to support budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the business unit, monitor performance against targets and develop KPI dashboards.
• Review pricing models, contract terms and change orders; track project financials, revenue recognition and milestone billing.
• Prepare monthly management reports, ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls, and support audits.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis for new business opportunities and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in a CRO, pharmaceutical, clinical research or life‑sciences environment.
• Strong knowledge of project‑based accounting, IFRS 15 revenue recognition and contract financial management.
• Excellent Excel and financial‑modeling abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) and experience in a matrixed multinational organization are a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite and project‑accounting tools.
