English Teacher – Young Learners (Ages 6–12)

About the role

If you are an enthusiastic educator eager to experience Chinese culture and love working with bright young minds, this position offers the chance to teach English to children aged 6‑12 through engaging online reading lessons. You will join an international teaching team at TALTAL (Xueersi) and help make early‑childhood English education warm and effective.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver online English classes to groups of 8‑10 students, following the curriculum guidelines.
• Prepare lesson plans, conduct interactive activities, and teach ELA skills including reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and listening & speaking.
• Foster critical thinking, reading comprehension and written expression in English.
• Manage class logistics, record student performance and provide regular feedback.
• Participate in lesson‑planning meetings, teaching research and curriculum optimisation.

Required profile

• Native‑level English proficiency with clear pronunciation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Education or Preschool Education preferred).
• Passion for children and child‑oriented teaching concepts.
• Ability to prepare lessons independently and manage a classroom of young learners.
• Willingness to adjust schedule during peak periods and adhere to non‑compete and confidentiality agreements.
