Primary School History Teacher – Bilingual School in Beijing

About the role

We are seeking a Primary School History Teacher to join our modern bilingual school in Beijing for the 2027/28 academic year. The role involves delivering engaging history lessons to young learners in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach History to primary school students, making every lesson engaging and enriching.
• Bring the past to life through stories, sources and hands‑on activities.
• Plan and deliver lessons, design and mark assessments, and write report comments.
• Monitor student progress and set targets so every learner can improve.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop and enhance the curriculum.
• Create a supportive, safe and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in History or a related subject.
• At least two years experience as a lead classroom teacher, preferably in a bilingual setting.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Enthusiastic, responsible and a strong team player in a multicultural setting.
