Director of Growth – China

About the role

Hyatt is seeking a dynamic Director of Growth to lead the strategic expansion of its portfolio across China. Based in Beijing, you will originate, evaluate, and execute management and franchise opportunities, driving growth initiatives and strengthening owner relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Hyatt’s development plans aligned with corporate strategy.
• Leverage industry knowledge and sales expertise to secure high‑value deals.
• Source, evaluate, and convert development opportunities into projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to analyze, approve, and close prospective opportunities.
• Use NPV guidelines to balance volume and value while expanding market footprint.
• Provide market research and site viability data for Hyatt brands.
• Manage deal structuring, negotiation, and closing throughout the development process.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, investors, and developers to achieve revenue growth and signing targets.

Required profile

• Fluent Mandarin and English with excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of deal structuring, management contracts, and hotel real‑estate markets.
• Experience handling new builds, conversions, and renewals.
• Willingness to travel extensively and manage travel expenses.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel development, real‑estate consulting, or a similar role with a proven track record.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Hotel Management, or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
