Customer Engineer (Trilingual: Chinese, English & Korean)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Customer Engineer to act as the primary liaison with customers in China, installing, maintaining and upgrading semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role combines on‑site technical support with digital analytics for troubleshooting and requires fluency in Chinese, English and Korean.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with equipment installation, commissioning, acceptance and provide preventive (PM) and corrective (CM) maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Support equipment upgrade, retrofit and performance‑optimization projects while ensuring stable operation to meet customer production requirements.
• Participate in on‑site project execution for SK hynix, collaborate with cross‑regional teams in China and South Korea, and contribute to project management and site operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering disciplines such as automation, mechatronics, electronic or electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.; fresh graduates and candidates with 1‑3 years experience are welcome.
• Strong communication skills in Chinese, English and Korean, willingness to accept domestic and international assignments, and ability to work effectively on customer sites.
