About the role
As a Customer Engineer at Applied Materials, you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
- Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
- Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
Required profile
- Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
- 1–2 years of customer/field service or related technical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
Required skills
- Digital analytics for equipment troubleshooting.
- Basic diagnostic techniques for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
