Customer Engineer II – Field Service (MDP)

About the role

As a Customer Engineer II (MDP) you act as the direct liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics to diagnose equipment issues.
• Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and resolve technical problems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field‑service experience or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer/field service support or a related technical field (2–4 years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and a valid driver’s license.
