Cost Accountant

About the role

Magna’s Cosma division is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate cost data and providing insightful analysis that supports production and engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and control a computerized cost accounting and inventory system.
• Calculate and prepare cost analysis reports on labour, materials, overhead and other cost drivers as required by management.
• Prepare cost estimates using historical data and support budgeting activities.
• Implement and ensure compliance with cost accounting policies, systems and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost accounting or related financial analysis.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost reporting tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work within established accounting policies and procedures.
