Company Controller – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

The Company Controller will partner with department heads and the factory manager to align financial objectives with operational plans for Hitachi Energy’s Transformer Business Unit in Greater China. This role translates strategic goals into actionable business plans, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports decision‑making across the manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational plans.
• Support the factory manager in implementing strategic objectives and translating them into measurable business plans.
• Manage the forecasting process and analyse production and financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, maintaining transparency for strategic decisions.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to protect factory assets and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities, taking proactive steps to mitigate exposure.
• Drive productivity optimisation and cost‑structure improvements for greater capital efficiency.
• Plan and monitor cash flow, enhancing net working capital and overall financial health.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of financial management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to prepare detailed financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
• Experience with financial software and ERP implementations.
• Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
