Financial Line Senior Underwriter

About the role

The purpose of this role is to work with the Financial Lines Team supervised by the Line Manager in order to develop the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Risk assessment, industrial and financial analysis, pricing and setting terms.
• Active portfolio management, maintenance, optimisation and market analysis.
• Support the annual business plan, budgets and forecasts for the product/portfolio.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and market counterparties.
• Assist the Line of Business Head with compliance management.
• Assist the Line of Business Head with product management.
• Assist the Line of Business Head with Financial Lines operations management.

Required profile

• University graduate with at least 6 years of experience or postgraduate with at least 4 years.
• Studies in economics, finance, accounting, insurance or law are valued.
• Working experience in Financial Lines preferred.
• Specific underwriting knowledge.
• Understanding of policy wordings and the China market.
• Knowledge of financial and investment markets, including regulatory and competitive environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
