Consultant - Shanghai

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a business of Marsh, is looking for consultants in Shanghai. Consultants are core members of the consulting team, working side by side with clients, and the role offers strong career and growth opportunities for motivated professionals with relevant prior experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution of individual project workstreams, including developing hypotheses, collecting data, building models and running analyses, and conducting primary and secondary research
• Synthesize findings into written presentations and review them with clients and other stakeholders
• Support the Partner group in project delivery through accurate, high-quality execution
• Report to Engagement Managers and Principals, seeking guidance on technical expertise and senior advice on project execution and client engagement

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization
• Preferred: experience in Retail, Consumer Goods or Telecommunications
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese
• Willingness to travel and to work at least three days per week in the local office or with clients

Required skills

• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL and Python
• Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
