Computing Engineer – Endpoint Management (SCCM/MECM)

About the role

The Computing Engineer will ensure the stability, security and efficiency of Airbus' endpoint computing environment across the China region. The role focuses on automated deployment, patch management and compliance using SCCM/MECM, while acting as the Tier 3 escalation point for the Service Desk and onsite teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the SCCM/MECM platform, manage device collections and orchestrate the full software lifecycle including packaging, deployment and silent removal.
• Lead patch management and security compliance, coordinating with global teams, operating WSUS pipelines and executing remediation scripts.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support, create and distribute standardized Windows OS images, and ensure hardware compatibility.
• Produce SSRS/SQL reports on hardware inventory, software licensing and patch compliance.
• Document procedures, deliver knowledge‑transfer sessions and manage technical projects from scope to budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of enterprise IT experience, including 3‑5 years in senior endpoint‑management roles (SCCM/MECM, Windows imaging, Tier 3 escalation).
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate; ITIL, PMP or similar are advantageous.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

• PowerShell, Batch and VBScript for automation and log analysis.
• SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) for custom inventory and compliance reports.
• Windows 10/11 OS imaging, WIM customization, task sequences and driver integration.
