Communications Manager (Hotel)

About the role

Shangri-La Qiantan, located in Shanghai's New Bund International Business District, is seeking a Communications Manager to support its advertising, public relations and brand initiatives. You will work closely with the hotel’s marketing team, external agencies and corporate offices to ensure consistent and compelling communication across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive master slide library for advertising, collateral and PR activities.
• Coordinate photography projects for advertising, collateral and PR, acting as the liaison between the hotel, agency and corporate marketing.
• Collect and distribute competitor hotel news and advertising clippings to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to inform communication strategies.
• Support day‑to‑day communications duties as required.
• Participate in monthly forecasting of the communications department’s expenses.
• Perform additional related tasks to ensure the communications function runs smoothly.

Required profile

• Motivator, self‑starter and team builder with a proactive attitude.
• Basic oral and written proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Quick learner able to work under pressure and think creatively.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a 5‑star hotel.
