Clinical Research Physician – Autoimmune & Oncology

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a Clinical Research Physician to lead and co‑chair clinical study teams focused on autoimmune, inflammatory, respiratory, dermatology, rheumatology and several oncology indications. The role combines scientific expertise with hands‑on trial management to ensure efficient, high‑quality clinical development.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑chair clinical study teams, overseeing design, conduct, interpretation and reporting of one or more studies.
• Develop and write trial outlines, protocols and amendments in collaboration with statisticians, pharmacologists, project managers and external investigators.
• Provide clinical and scientific input to trial strategy, applying Enhanced Clinical Trial Design (ECTD) and Enhanced Quantitative Drug Development (EQDD) methodologies.
• Lead safety review activities, identify emerging safety trends and manage protocol deviations.
• Act as site liaison, supporting investigators through training, performance monitoring and issue escalation.

Required profile

• PhD degree (medical or related) – recent graduates who have completed hospital residency are acceptable.
• Fluent English; preference for candidates with both hospital and industry experience.

Required skills

• Clinical trial design and protocol development.
• Safety data review and adverse event management.
• Site liaison and investigator engagement.
• Knowledge of Enhanced Clinical Trial Design (ECTD) and Enhanced Quantitative Drug Development (EQDD) approaches.
