Category Buyer

About the role

Aptiv is looking for a Category Buyer to join its global procurement team. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing suppliers to support the company’s mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify competitive suppliers based on purchase requisitions.
• Negotiate contracts to achieve quality, price, service and technology targets.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives through benchmarking and strategic negotiations.
• Execute annual negotiations and meet defined saving targets.
• Implement material cost‑reduction strategies aligned with global and regional goals.
• Support material localization and maintain a robust supply base.
• Manage documentation, contracts and cross‑functional interfaces.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, commerce or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of international or commodity purchasing experience.
• Strong sense of responsibility and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work across time zones and with diverse cultures.
• Fluency in English; Korean language skills are a plus.
