Building Engineer – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

As a Building Engineer at CBRE you will monitor, maintain and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling and other facilities. You will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with codes and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life‑safety and control systems.
• Implement and support preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
• Respond to emergency repairs and ensure rapid resolution.
• Maintain energy management programs and ensure systems run efficiently.
• Conduct inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to verify proper operation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 4‑5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb, climb ladders and perform manual tasks.
• Prior supervisory or shift‑management experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Universal CFC certification (preferred) or other relevant local certifications.
