Landscape Architect - Shanghai

About the role

Bearley Architects & Urbanists is hiring a Landscape Architect for its Shanghai office. The role reports to the Melbourne office, works on medium to large scale projects and requires fluency in English.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise 2 to 3 junior landscape architects by delegating tasks, reviewing all work and actively mentoring them.
• Work on medium to large scale projects, covering design development through tender and construction documentation, and carry out site inspections during construction.
• Assist the Shanghai team in weekly design progress and site progress, report to the Melbourne office and discuss projects.
• Manage client relationships and present confidently to clients in formal and informal settings.

Required profile

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent, with at least 5 years of post-graduation industry experience.
• Experience across all project phases, demonstrated in a portfolio.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent project team management skills for complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Great understanding of planting, especially for Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of all phases from project inception to construction documentation.
