Asset Specialist – Inventory & Forecast Management

About the role

The Asset Specialist will manage high‑value, complex inventory for key customers, ensuring accurate forecasting and optimal stock turns. Based in Shenzhen, you will work closely with sales, supply‑chain and digital teams to support regional planning initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain pipeline inventory for high‑dollar, large‑part‑count customer demand.
• Prepare and upload Arrow‑generated and customer‑supplied forecasts to e‑compass, handling exceptions and resolving processing issues.
• Review e‑compass parameters, recommend adjustments and use Manugistics to improve forecast inputs.
• Manage complex In‑Plant Stores and consignment arrangements to ensure supply adequacy and maximize inventory turns.
• Control excess and slow‑moving inventory, including sludge reduction.
• Collaborate with sales and supply‑chain teams to propose alternative supply‑chain solutions and develop innovative approaches.
• Represent the regional planning team in setting up consignments, kanban systems, ABC low‑value analyses, etc.
• Participate in CPI teams or inventory task forces and mentor new material planners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 2–4 years of related supply‑chain or inventory planning experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under general supervision while solving complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with sales, supply‑chain and digital teams.
