Application Engineer II – PDC

About the role

Applied Materials seeks an Application Engineer II – PDC to support customers in Shanghai. You will identify complex problems, develop solutions, and drive recipe optimization for advanced semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify complex customer problems and lead solutions through the full work cycle.
• Lead recipe creation and train PSE/AEs on recipe development.
• Qualify new technologies and features, execute beta‑sites, and conduct evaluations and demos at customer sites.
• Participate in customer demo activities and technical review meetings.
• Create new methodologies to optimize system performance for specific applications.

Required profile

• New college graduate with a technical background.
• Ability to explain complex information in straightforward situations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
